On December 20, 2017, the early-access phase of the PC version ended and version 1.0 was released. There are several remote game worlds. These are mostly dystopian, fallow places. The oldest map is the remote and sprawling island of Erangel with Eastern European geography oriented towards Brutalism and the Soviet Union in the 1950s. Russian graffiti and brand marks can be found on houses or on objects. The world covers a size of about 64 square kilometers. At the end of 2017 PUBG was supplemented by another card called Miramar. The plant world (by Joshua Trees) corresponds to the US-Mexican-Mexican deserts, place names, graffiti and Brandmarks are Spanish. Calendar pages on walls refer to the year 1963. The game zone of the open world game world becomes smaller at certain time intervals and the player suffers damage when it is outside the defined area. In the game world itself are abandoned houses, roads, forests and villages. At defined points on the map, usually in houses or covered areas, there are various pieces of equipment such as weapons, helmets or bullet-proof vests.
Game Principle and Game Mechanics
The principle is based on the Japanese film and manga Battle Royale. The player lands with a parachute from a plane on a remote island. There he must try to survive as long as possible. The playable character can be made free before. A circular boundary will become smaller at certain time intervals, causing damage to players if they are not yet within the safe area. This will direct the players to a random point in the map. Previously, the upcoming reduction is already displayed at a marker on the minimap. The game is limited to the multiplayer mode. Alone or as a team of two or four you fight against up to 100 other players. There are a variety of weapons, vehicles, clothing and other equipment that can be found in the game world available. Rare weapons and items are sent out via so-called air drops, which are randomly placed in the game world, and often cause battles between players. Alternatively, it is also possible to play in the first-person view instead of the third-person view. The winner is the player or team remaining last. An average round lasts about 30 minutes, but varies greatly between the different abilities of the players and the random factor equipment. After a game the players receive u. a. Based on their kills and survival duration experience points they can use for purely optical character enhancements. Purely optical items such as clothing can also be traded through the Steam Marketplace.
